Renovation of adjoining dwellings
TWIN HOUSES
DESCRIPTION
Two narrow and long Victorian workers cottages adjacent to each other with a single owner allowed for both homes to be renovated and restored in keeping with one another.
The street frontages of both dwellings had been altered over time and had lost some of their original features. These were carefully restored as part of the works.
The orientation allowed for maximum daylight to be brought into the rear open plan areas, supplemented with high level windows that allowed sunlight penetration and also provided privacy to the contemporary addition.
