In my first meeting with the owners they suggested that I view the rear of the property from Balaclava station, standing on the platform.
Here was one of the drivers for the roof garden which can be seen from this vantage point.  The vistas in the home were all about capturing views to ‘green’ spaces both the roof garden and the courtyard down below.

And of course the skylight which formed the junction between new and old and allowed the existing chimney to be viewed as it extended through the glass and up through the original roof.
